| An
isolated severe storm was approaching early in the evening and managed
to put on a bit of a show for me. There was a flurry of CG activity
off to the north and that alone lured me outside for a closer look.
The storm was moving SSEerly and with time the updraft base became better
organized a few miles to my NW. It wasn't long before a lowering
developed that demanded my attention. It looked like a shelf cloud
at first, but with time a tail cloud angled down and away from it.
Holy smokes, a wall cloud! I don't even remember if there was rotation
with it, but I tried to snap off as many photos before the precip ran me over. |
